In an upcoming episode of Koffee With Karan, season 8, actors Kartik Aaryan and Karan Johar will address rumors of a fight between them. Director Karan Johar recently announced that the eighth season of his talk show would debut on Disney+ Hotstar on October 26.
News18 claims that Kartik would “likely be seen” on a future episode of Koffee With Karan. Additionally, he and Karan may discuss their much-discussed feud in Dostana 2. The argument between Kartik and Karan
An insider said to the website, “There’s still no clarification as to who Kartik will arrive with, but people expected him on the Koffee sofa for a second time”. The pair has resolved to work out their issues, and this episode may include them discussing the widespread media coverage of their purported fight.
Kartik last appeared on KWK 6 as a guest.
In 2018, during the sixth season of Koffee With Karan, Kartik made his first appearance on the show alongside his Luka Chuppi co-star, Kriti Sanon. Even though he wasn’t one of the KWK 7 from the previous year, the actor’s name was mentioned several times, and he even reacted to it.
Reports of tension between Kartik and Karan
The chemistry between Kartik and Karan has been in the spotlight ever since Dharma Productions revealed that Dostana 2 will be recast for 2021. Dostana 2 also stars Janhvi Kapoor and Lakshya Lalwani, and Kartik was the lead. However, Kartik was terminated from the project in the year 2021.
Dharma Productions, which Karan owns, had made an announcement at the time on Instagram. “Due to professional circumstances, on which we have decided to maintain a dignified silence, we will be recasting Dostana 2, directed by Collin D’Cunha,” it stated. The fact that Karan and Kartik reunited at the 14th Indian Film Festival of Melbourne 2023 in early August made headlines. Before this, Karan and Kartik were in the news when the director attended the premiere of the actor’s June blockbuster, Satyaprem Ki Katha.
